In the shorter distances, Alberto Canessa and Natalia Mastrota won in the GTC55, and Davide Cheraz and Susan Ostano won in the GTC30.

The winners of the three races of the IX edition of the Gran Trail Courmayeur crossed the finish line. There were officially 1,003 runners, both men and women, who came to the starting line of the three distances and put themselves to the test on the race courses. This is a significant result that recounts a successful edition.

He won the prestigious GTC100 with a time of 14 hours and 42 minutes the athlete of the team Eolo Andrea Macchi, who on these paths had already triumphed in 2017 and today was able to make the most of the technical and challenging sections of the race course, going to embellish his palmarés with a victory of absolute level. Welcomed by two enthusiastic wings of public present in front of the Courmayeur Mountain Sport Center, since the first kilometer Macchi was able to impose his own tight rhythm on experienced and prepared opponents such as Simone Corsini and Alessandro Roncato, respectively second and third place in a race fought and open until the finish line.

For women, the GTC100 was led by Chiara Vitale, who, with a time of 18 hours and 21 minutes, left behind the Aosta Valley’s Sonia Locatelli and the Czech athlete Eliška Vondráčková, protagonists of an exciting race in which for many kilometers they fought for the position.

Alberto Canessa was the winner of the GTC55 podium, who after 6 hours and 1 minute of race finished with a substantial advantage ahead of Matteo Anselmi, followed by Erik Bochicchio from Aosta Valley.

Absolute domination in the female category for the young and promising Natalia Mastrota, who finished her race in 7 hours and 24 minutes with a wide margin on her opponents. Second place went to the Frenchwoman Natasha Buckley, recovering from the Italian Marta Viganò, who closed the podium of the GTC55.
