“The era we are living in has imposed on sports companies a reinterpretation of their business model,” said the new president, “The key? To interpret the difficult challenges posed by the pandemic as an opportunity for growth, a push to the accelerator on the road to modernisation and digitisation, research and innovation. (…) I have accepted my candidacy for the presidency of Assosport with enthusiasm, after a long period as an advisor and the last two years as Vice President. As first President Donna it is a great responsibility to lead the Association in this complex phase of living with the virus, representing 120 member companies, mostly medium and small. We are an important sector, not only because of the numbers I have just mentioned, but also because of the value and values of sport, which are permeating many sectors at this moment in history”.
