Arc’teryx welcomes ultra runner Martin Kern to the team

The Canadian brand Arc’teryx, specialized in high-performance technical apparel, welcomed French trail runner Martin Kern into its large family, expanding its line-up of exceptional athletes. Trail Running is an ever-expanding market for the brand and will certainly continue to grow in the coming years remaining the core of attention.

“Technical excellence and expertise are applied to everything we do, and Martin’s commitment has attracted our attention,” said Max Müller, EMEA Sports Marketing Manager. “Martin shares the same values and passions as all the other members of the company here at Arc’teryx, and that includes a love of the mountains and the outdoors.

Born in Marseille, he started competing in 2016 and after three years of great success in New Zealand and Oceania, he moved to Vallouise, where he now lives and trains. 2019 was an important year for him, as he managed to gain first place both in the Swiss Canyon Trail 110km and in the 6000D, finishing with a solid 12th place in the UTMB.

“I decided to work with Arc’teryx because I wanted to be involved in a strong and stimulating team that supports the development projects and widely communicates the mountaineering values that I share too”
