Deuter celebrates 40 years of Aircomfort and the new AC Lite

Deuter Aircomfort and AC Lite
Deuter
celebrates 40 years of the Aircomfort backrest system and introduces the latest AC Lite series.

In 1984, Deuter developed a patented backpack back system that continues to provide high comfort in many backpack models today. The Aircomfort system, especially in small- to medium-volume backpacks, maximizes ventilation, as seen in the AC Lite models: a series of lightweight, comfortable backpacks for sporting outings, with maximum air circulation at the back. In fact, the Aircomfort system is also used in the AC Lite series of hiking backpacks.

The indestructible core of Aircomfort systems is the permanently elastic spring steel frame. This gives the special aerated mesh a stable tension even under load, creating a ventilation space between the backpack and the back through which moist air can flow freely. The result is less sweating due to the maximum ventilation of the Aircomfort back system, which leads to less circulatory tension and thus more resistance.

AC Lite models are equipped with the Aircomfort system. The series is especially suitable for those who like to wear a light, comfortable and well-ventilated backpack on their day trips into nature. In addition to an optimal weight-to-comfort ratio, the AC Lite daypack offers a large main compartment and well thought-out storage options, such as a smartphone pocket, elastic side pockets or loops for attaching items to the outside of the backpack.

Smaller models have a zippered front pocket (14 SL, 15 SL, 16, 17, 21 SL, 23, 25 EL) and larger models (22 SL, 24, 28 SL, 30, 32 EL) have a lid compartment. All models are compatible with a hydration system (2 or 3 liters) and come with a removable rain cover.

In terms of sustainability, AC Lite is a bluesign product, certified by Green Button and ClimatePartner. The AC Lite, like all deuter products, is PFAS-free.
