Discovery Tour 2024: exploring, enhancing and building community

In 2021, the Discovery Tour initiative was born, supported by Rock Experience. The idea was born from a meeting between Lombard climbers from the Gruppo Alpinistico Ragni, Gruppo Alpinistico Gamma of Lecco and Sicilian climbers from the Bobo’s association. This project aims to discover unexplored territories and meet new climbing communities by enriching the identified walls with new crags for local climbing communities. In 2024, the project will again take place in Sicily, where a new wall has been identified in San Giuseppe Jato, near Palermo, called “The Cathedral” because of its shape reminiscent of a Gothic basilica. The expedition will depart Feb. 17 and is expected to be completed by the end of the month with members of the Spiders, Gamma and Bobo’s participating, along with photographers and videomakers to document the activity.
