#DoloMeet: Adventure Outdoor Fest 2018
From June 27th to July 1st the Adventure Outdoor Fest is back, in the Dolomites of San Candido (BZ). The event gives the chance to listen to stories and adventures that arise from the passion of great athletes, let the participants exchange and share experiences, practice sports and explore issues related to nature and outdoor lifestyle.
You can experience a lot of unique activities on the days of the Festival, as a walk with the writer Erri De Luca, the Trail2Days and the Sunset run alongside the ultra trailers Clare Gallagher (USA) and Michele Evangelisti, the ABA concert at sunrise on the mountain Baranci, reachable through a night trekking or by bike or, for the more adventurous ones, an whole night “beyond nature” under the stars with the survivalist Michael Bolognini.
Not to be missed is the first edition of #DoloMeet: a meeting of Instagramers organized in collaboration with Igers_Suedtirol to be held Saturday 30 June, the day in which the second edition of the 3CimeStreet Boulder Contest is also scheduled.
Finally, there will be the spectacular via ferrata and the possibility of climbing a rock route on the 3 Cime di Lavaredo, trekking and hiking in Mtb, a very rich Yogadventure program with Yoga classes, AcroYoga, Meditation and Barefoot Hiking, Climbing courses, Indoboard and Slackline and even some innovative seminars on breathing techniques based on apnea and on the he Wim Hof method. Even children can test themselves in many events, specifically thought for them!
The Adventure Outdoor Fest, in addition to screenings of adventure short movies from all over the world, selected by the Adventure Movie Awards, schedules several meetings with important guests. The kermesse starts on Wednesday 27 June with the Dolomiti Unesco Day.
Thursday 28 is the turn of Moreno Pesce, with a meeting on sport and disability and of Manolo with his book “Eravamo Immortali”. The evening is dedicated to the 200 years of Grivel. On Friday 29 the writer Erri De Luca will be one of the special guests, togheter with the ultra runner and activist Clare Gallagher, as well as the researchers of One Project Research and the Kailas travel guides. Saturday 30 will rise on stage the climbers Anna Stöhr, Alex Ruscior and Read Macadam. Sunday in addition to an afternoon meeting with Giulia Moiraghi about Yoga, in the evening we will talk about Barefoot walking with Andrea Bianchi and his latest book “Con la terra sotto i piedi” and about exploration with Michael Wachtler who will present the exclusive video “L’oro delle Alpi” on the greatest golden find of our days.
To stay from June 27 to July 1 in San Candido, in the heart of the Dolomites, in addition to the wonderful hotels and accommodation facilities of the area, you can choose the Adventure Camping or, to live a suspended experience in the trees, also the Tentsile packages at the lake of Dobbiaco: the Tree Tent, at the end of the event, becomes yours!
