Dynafit presents DNA, for trail running

The new Dynafit DNA collection is a head-to-toe ultralight integrated system for trail running races, with everything you need and nothing less than what you need, at less than one kilogram in weight.

Fighting against time is part of Dynafit’s DNA, and race products are an inescapable part of this athlete brand’s philosophy. To get the best out of both racing and training, top professional ski mountaineers have been relying on the Dynafit DNA winter collection of ultralight, high-performance products for several seasons now. Starting in the summer of 2021, trail runners too will finally have a race set-up at their disposal that they can use to achieve their most ambitious goals.

“We are an athlete brand that designs and manufactures integrated systems of products for mountain endurance sports,” explains Benedikt Böhm, athlete and general manager Dynafit. “In recent seasons we have focused on developing a system for trail running competitions as well, and now we are presenting the first Dynafit DNA summer collection, in continuity with what we already do in winter for ski mountaineering competitions. These are ultralight, technical, highly functional competition products that are stripped down to the essentials to get you to the top as fast as possible, whether you’re racing for first place or racing against your limits.”

The new Dynafit DNA collection consists of lightweight, sophisticated products made with the best available technologies, and includes everything you need from head to toe: apparel, accessories and footwear that allow you to select a complete race set-up with a total weight of less than one kilogram. The new DNA collection also reflects Dynafit’s values with an eye-catching minimalist black and white aesthetic for men and women.

Alpine DNA: the lightweight shoe for technical competitions

Alpine DNA is the competition evolution of the Alpine Pro, a Dynafit best seller for trail running. Weighing in at just 240 grams (200 grams in the women’s version) the Alpine DNA was developed for fast, technical trails with challenging descents and is perfect for medium to long distance races. The fit is precise, adaptable to perfection thanks to the traditional lacing system that allows a secure and comfortable fixation of the foot and the additional DNA Volume Reducer footbed that allows to further reduce the average volume of the shoe. The midsole rocker allows for a dynamic and responsive running feel to maximize leg energy. The Vibram® sole with Megagrip compound provides secure grip and traction on both wet and dry mountain terrain, making the Alpine DNA the ideal shoe to achieve your goals in competition.

DNA Wind Jacket: The Lightweight Competition Windproof Jacket

At only 112 grams, the lightweight DNA Wind Jacket is the competition solution to protect yourself from the wind during trail running races. The technical windproof fabric is also highly breathable and finished with a water repellent treatment without environmentally and health hazardous PFCs. Laser perforations under the arms and on the back allow air to circulate freely while maintaining a balanced temperature even on climbs when the effort becomes more intense. Stretch inserts accommodate your movements without restricting freedom of movement or sacrificing a precise, snug fit. To improve visibility in bad weather or when running in low light between dusk and dawn, the jacket is equipped with reflective elements. Once folded, it takes up so little volume that it can be worn to every race without stealing space in the 6-liter backpack.

Vert 6 DNA: the race backpack with little weight and lots of space

The new Vert 6 DNA backpack has been optimized for competitions. At only 186 grams, it offers 6 liters of volume and all the essential accessories during a trail running race. Made of stretch Elastic Airmesh fabric, it follows every movement and adapts perfectly to the body. Two 250ml flasks can be stored in the two pockets on the front of the backpack. The backpack also has a waterproof pocket for a smartphone, two side mesh pockets for gels or bars, an emergency whistle, which is part of the mandatory race equipment, and a pole holder. A protective jacket or spare clothing can be stored in the main compartment. Reflective logos improve visibility in bad weather or when running in low light between dusk and dawn.
