Ferrino always on the side of the Tor des Géants

The collaboration between Ferrino and Tor des Géants has been renewed. The hardest endurance trail in the world, now in its eleventh edition, is ready to welcome the most determined ultra trailers from 10 to 19 September 2021.

After a year of forced stop, the hardest endurance trail in the world is ready to return with the Tor30 – Passage au Malatrà, the Tor130 – Tot Dret, the Tor450 – Tor des Glaciers and the Tor330 – Tor des Géants. Confirmed all four races of the Torx system that will see the competitors compete on the slopes offered by the most beautiful paths of the Valle d’Aosta. “We are happy to confirm the long-standing partnership between Tor des Géants and Ferrino,” comments Anna Ferrino, CEO Ferrino. “We want to return to the trails of the Tor and we’re curious to see the new features that the organization of this prestigious event is putting in place to make the event even bigger, more international and complete.

There are many new features in the pipeline for this edition: the innovative Tor Academy, a community where trail running courses, camp trails, fast hiking outings and distance coaching are organised together with top champions; the InfiniTOR app; the Sport Village Experience in Val Veny, scheduled for early June; and the Tor in Tour, a series of appointments in Italy and around the world thanks to which the Tor, its soul, the athletes and the stories of this race will be made known. Last but not least, the great attention to the environment that has always characterized the event and in which Ferrino reflects its ideals.

 

Ferrino’s experience in the life bases and high altitude bivouacs

For eleven years Ferrino, the Turin-based company that has been a leader in the outdoor industry for 150 years, has supported the Tor des Géants with its experience and the quality of the company’s technical equipment to support the efforts of the athletes along the trails, ridges and mountain passes. Ferrino will supply the organisation of all four competitions with technical equipment to offer the maximum possible support to athletes. Camp beds for resting in the bases and high altitude tents to welcome them along the route. To support the Torx volunteers in their fundamental work, Ferrino bivouacs with tents and sleeping bags will be set up for the most difficult and inhospitable parts of the route. In addition, if it becomes necessary in light of any regulations for the prevention of Covid-19, Ferrino will offer support to the event by assisting the organisers, within the scope of its own competences, so that the race can take place in compliance with these regulations and in safety.
