Fusalp gets the award at Ispo 2019 with Polartec technology
The Fusalp R&D department announces the success of the brand in the Snowsports category at the ISPO Awards 2019. Fusalp has been rewarded for its continuous work with the most innovative materials, and in particular for having integrated the Polartec Alpha technologies with active insulation and Polartec Power fill for maximum heat in the suit “Monza”which will be part of the first Fusalp Futur capsule collection.
For Autumn-Winter 2019/20 Fusalp presents a one man ski inspired by Formula 1, made with highly technical materials such as Polartec Alpha and Power fill, further maximizing product performance thanks to the combination of superior breathability, maximum heat, fast drying, ease of maintenance and lightness.
Fusalp is famous for its strong bond with ski champions. A link fed by the continuous research of the brand in terms of technical and material performance. The track suit“Monza”, inspired by pilots, links the world of skiing to motoring and emphasizes the values common to the two sports: elegance and performance.

Polatec Alpha is a new concept of active thermal insulation focused on an unsurpassed thermoregulation. Unlike standard synthetic insulation, Polartec Alpha is a knitted material that offers excellent stability and superior durability without the need for quilting or a tight mesh lining. Its special structure translates into a highly breathable lining that allows the body heat and humidity to move dynamically. Permeability allows hot air to move from high-concentration areas to low-concentration areas, thus distributing heat more evenly within the garment. The high breathability allows moisture to move without restrictions, and the garment dries faster than the standard synthetic insulation. Polatec Alpha also allows much more freedom of movement in a greater number of activities.
Polatec Power fill is a soft and flexible matrix made of polyester fibres designed with a specific geometric shape. This matrix creates thousands of small air chambers that capture and retain body heat in turn, keeping a balanced and long-lasting thermal layer between the coldest outdoor air and warmer indoor temperatures. The intrinsic hydrophobic properties of polyester fibers ensure Polartec Power fill resistance to moisture absorption and fast drying, maintaining an ideal heat – weight ratio.
