Garmont and Michelin launch Dragontail Tech Gtx the new approach shoe
Garmont and Michelin present Dragontail Tech GTX, a model dedicated to those who love to challenge themselves on all mountain trails, even the most difficult ones.
With the launch of the Dragontail Tech GTX, Garmont and Michelin want to offer all approach enthusiasts an extremely high-performance and innovative shoe thanks to the technologies used in its creation, starting with the Michelin sole designed specifically for the new Garmont shoe.
Approach enthusiasts, are attentive to the technicality and performance of their equipment, always looking for new solutions that can satisfy and increase their performance. It is with these needs in mind that Garmont and Michelin have co-designed the new Dragontail Tech GTX, a versatile, lightweight shoe, but at the same time able to offer high comfort for long treks.
The Michelin sole gives the shoe maximum flexibility and lightness. Equipped with a specific double compound for the approach in the toe and sculptures with sipings designed to ensure greater adaptability and grip on all terrains but its technicality is enhanced on gravel, exposed rocks, mixed trails.
The tread design has been designed to offer maximum flexibility and traction, guaranteeing the wearer 360-degree freedom of movement on all types of terrain. To make the sole extremely light it has been designed with fiber lite technology, while, to offer maximum stability to the wearer, triangular sculptures have been inserted in the heel to improve braking and make the walk stable even on downhill. The sole is accompanied by an ecological Ortholite UltraLiteTM footbed characterized by a combined structure: a rigid and stable compound in the heel area and a soft ultralite compound in the middle and forefoot area.
The suede upper features Gore-Tex Extended Comfort technology that adapts to any climate. Compared to the previous model, it has a tighter fit, thus combining extreme precision and maximum forefoot comfort, a feature already known to fans of the old model. Finally, the shoe has a reinforcement at the back to give stability to the foot and a closure with laces up to the toe for better climbing performance and a custom fit.
