La Sportiva presents the new eco-friendly winter collection

Clothing, footwear and accessories to fully experience the mountains. All the items in the collection are made to be versatile, high performance and long-lasting, with particular attention to the use of recycled and PFC free materials.

La Sportiva has as a partner in the new PrimaLoft collection with which it has created what they call an “ecological insulation with consciousness”.

PrimaLoft Silver Insulation 100% PCR has been designed entirely using post-consumer recycled materials to create high performance, yet environmentally friendly insulation.
The thinner cashmere fibres create millions of air pockets that keep you warm when temperatures drop, while a water-repellent fabric keeps you comfortable even when conditions get wet. Lightweight and highly compressible, PrimaLoft Silver Insulation-100% PCR is an eco-friendly insulation that works conscientiously.

In addition, the use of Kapok has been integrated for the first time. Kapok is the cleanest, most natural and active fibre in the world.

Kapok tress can grow on hills, which reduces the use of flat land, unlike cotton or other fibres. Kapok trees require only natural rainwater and heat. It does not require pesticides due to the natural protective wax coating. Its high-quality plant fibres have several active properties. Kapok trees provide the fruit, which is inedible and its fibres are therefore ideal for use in textile materials. Increased use of kapok will increase the planting of trees, more trees, more fresh air and less CO2, reducing global warming. Finally, it is 100% vegan and biodegradable.
