Liv cycling and the commitment to women’s cycling

Liv Cycling, a brand that has always been committed to getting more women on bikes and fighting for gender equality in sport, has announced the expansion of the Liv Racing Women’s WorldTeam and its 2021 roster, welcoming three new riders to the team: Linda Indergand (SUI), Sarah Hill (RSA) and Dani Johnson (USA).

“Liv Racing is a natural extension of the Liv brand and our commitment to supporting women,” commented Phoebe Liu, chief branding officer of Giant Group – which includes the Liv Cycling, Giant, Momentum and Cadex brands. “In everything we do, we put women first. Our goal is to get more and more women on bikes, and to achieve greater equality for female athletes in professional cycling.”
Introduced in 2019, the Liv Racing team has expanded to include three different women’s professional teams (a total of 25 athletes from 11 nations) competing in multiple cycling disciplines.

Among them:

The Liv Racing WorldTeam, which participates in road and cyclo-cross races, including the UCI Women’s WorldTour circuit, and also includes Italians Sofia Bertizzolo and Soraya Paladin. At the start of the year Liv became the team’s main sponsor, a first among women’s WorldTour teams, and more news on that will be coming soon, including the roster for the 2021 season.

Liv Factory Racing, the off-road team that includes newcomers Indergand and Hill, as well as veterans Kaysee Armstrong and Isabella Naughton. These riders will compete in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup XCO, category stage races and Enduro World Series events.

The Liv Racing Collective, a team that includes athletes specialising in various categories. Among them are cross country, gravel, cyclocross, Paralympic and Ironman triathletes, who actively contribute to the all-round cycling world.
