Lightweight backpack that allows you to move quickly and cover longer distances

Mammut Aenergy ST 20-25

Although we only had half a day, we wanted to put the Aenergy ST 20-25 to the test on a challenging ski mountaineering trip. On field test, the backpack allowed us to move light and fast without compromising comfort or useful functions. The carrying system is inspired by trail running undershirts, is well-wrapped, and thanks in part to an elasticized chest strap, allows ample freedom of movement: the load is kept close to the body, preventing it from bouncing, while the anatomical shoulder straps provide a comfortable feel and feature large mesh pockets. Skis can be attached without removing the backpack, a feature that has proven to be very functional in a number of situations. There is a quick diagonal ski holder and a side ski holder. The front compression strap can be removed and worn as a hip belt. Most pockets are always conveniently accessible, and rear access to the main compartment keeps everything within easy reach. The separate front compartment is designed specifically for safety equipment; the integrated helmet and rope attachment are also well developed. There are also loops for two ice axes or poles and daisy chain for attaching additional equipment. The closure is roll-top with zipper, and the backpack is also hydration system compatible.
