Mizuno Wave Sky 5: for a more floaty ride!

Mizuno introduces the new Wave Sky 5, designed to provide runners with the best possible cushioning and energy return experience. A benchmark for the neutral and cushioned footwear market, The Wave Sky 5 marks a new milestone in providing runners with an increasingly comfortable and cushioned running experience. Whether it’s short or long distance runs, the Wave Sky 5 offers the best combination of Mizuno Enerzy and Mizuno Wave technologies.

Designed for neutral runners looking for the highest level of cushioning possible from a running shoe for everyday workouts. A shoe that turns out to be extremely comfortable to wear but at the same time offers a high energy return when pushing. The latest updates include a new midsole and upper that significantly improve the fit for an overall more comfortable feel.

For the first time, the new midsole construction features Mizuno Enerzy Core that extends from heel to toe. An advanced version of Mizuno Enerzy that provides 193% more cushioning and 56% more energy return than U4ic. Mizuno Wave’s improved structure provides maximum stability without sacrificing cushioning for a consistently confident run with improved transition smoothness. The combination of Mizuno Enerzy and Mizuno Wave provides the perfect mix of cushioning and energy return with every step.

The Wave Sky 5 is a shoe that weighs 310gr (size 8 UK, Men’s). The construction of the new upper is made of stretch fabric and stretches horizontally across the foot to provide the right balance of flexibility and support for an overall more comfortable and snug fit. The upper features holes to improve breathability and has no stress areas on the foot.

Mizuno Wave was introduced in running footwear in 1997 and, since then, Mizuno has never stopped innovating this technology by integrating it into an ever-widening range of running shoes.

Inside it contains completely recycled materials: both the heel cushioning and the laces are made of “Recycled Pet”.
