MTB Talks: international mountain biking conference kicks off

Reconciling the development of resorts and tourism with a commitment to sustainable tourism that respects the place and its inhabitants. With this in mind, mountain biking can certainly play a decisive role and be the right recipe for achieving both objectives.

On the weekend of 2-3 October, in the splendid Paganella Dolomites area, the eagerly awaited “MTB Talks” kicks off, the first international conference on mountain biking in Italy organised by Dolomiti Paganella Bike in collaboration with Bike Connection Agency and Andalo Vacanze.

The theme? “Trails to a better future” – an exchange of ideas and perspectives on how mountain biking can become the catalyst for the development of new and more sustainable forms of tourism, in response to problems such as seasonality, climate change, lack of infrastructure and overexploitation of specific areas.

Two days of talks and presentations from representatives of some of the world’s most prestigious and interesting MTB destinations, learning from their successes and challenges. What’s more, there will be a chance to get to know and discuss with like-minded operators in the sector during a “happy hour” while enjoying the delights of typical Trentino cuisine, before a second day that will begin with stimulating group workshops and end with a bike ride on the splendid trails of the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Park.

The parterre of talks, both in terms of topics and skills of the talkers, is decidedly interesting and allows to gather different points of view and international perspectives that will surely enrich the knowledge of those present.
The programme of the weekend starts with lunch on Saturday 2 October and then the conference will get into full swing throughout the afternoon, concluding with a happy hour during which you can continue your knowledge and deepen your understanding of the topics covered and the fantastic and informal BBQ supported by Cranckbrothers.

The following day will be dedicated to the group workshop on the trails of the Dolomiti Paganella Bike area. For those who wish to end the day in the saddle on the trails of the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Park.
