Automatic, universal, dual-input. Supermatic redefines the snowboard binding

Nidecker Supermatic test

Introduced in 2022, and described as “the last of the as-yet unrevealed mysteries of Fatima,” Supermatic is the first universal automatic double-entry binding; probably the most innovative solution yet, the only one capable of putting an end to the eternal diatribes between classic models, quick bindings and dedicated boots. Supermatic works by using a retractable spoiler. Simply push the foot in the back to lower the heel “pedal” and automatically engage the hitch, which attaches via a steel pin. Entry and exit are easy and intuitive. Multiple engagement notches in the mechanism ensure total safety, even when partially obstructed by snow and ice. A simple release lever makes egress just as quick. The rest is a concentrate of materials and proven technologies already found in Nidecker lines. The straps have the same convenient AuxTech design found on traditional high-end bindings. They can be adjusted once and locked in place to always enjoy a perfect fit. The asymmetrical nylon spoiler follows the natural structure of the leg giving support and flexibility where needed. Overall, this is a medium-rigid binding with a responsive flex for all-mountain use: safe and stable on the trail, performing well in freeride. A quick-access system you can highly trust that works with any boot model. And if slope or snow conditions require it, they can also be laced up like a regular binding. They are compatible with all mounting systems: 2×4, 4×4, The Channel and 3D.
