Nirmal “Nims” Purja climbs 14th 8000 in seven months

Nirmal “Nims” Purja writes the history of mountaineering with Project possible, climbing fourteen 8000 in seven months.
Osprey wants to celebrate the extraordinary feat of nirmal “Nims” Purja, the English mountaineer who climbed 14 of the highest mountains in the world in less than 7 months. The previous record was 7 years.
Nims is really a force of nature; an extraordinary athlete, motivated by an extraordinary mentality and determination, capable of reaching unsurpassed limits even by the most experienced mountaineers.
Nims, of Nepalese origin, has returned to the Himalayan chain to face the greatest challenge of his life: Project possible. Supported by his Nepalese Sherpa team, the goal was to beat the world record to climb 14 8,000 in just 7 months. A paradigm shift in the perception of human potential.
The last peak Shishapangma is the 14th highest mountain in the world, and the only 8,000 entirely in Tibetan soil. At 8.59 local hours on the day 29 October Nims reached the top, this last one was the culmination of months of training, perseverance, logistics and support from the team for his Project possible. Osprey supported the project with the only backpack that could keep pace with Nims, Aether Pro.
