Oberalp Group inaugurates the new Mountain Shop Bergamo
Strategically located at the entrance to Val Brembana and Val Seriana, the new Bergamo Mountain Shop in Ponteranica was inaugurated on 15 October, dedicated to trail running, ski mountaineering and all mountain sports enthusiasts.
From 15 October the mountain sports community of Bergamo and Orobie will be able to count on a new specialised point of sale for their passions. The new shop will bring to Ponteranica the Mountain Shop brand, the multi-brand format developed by the Oberalp Group of Bolzano, best known among enthusiasts through its specialised mountain brands – Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country and Evolv – and brands in distribution such as Under Armour, XBionic, Fischer and Smith Optics.
The characteristic of the Mountain Shops is to provide passionate Alpine expertise and a selection of brands for the typical activities of the local reality. For the Ponteranica shop this mission was entrusted to the new store manager Nevio Cornaro, a well-known name among mountain sports enthusiasts, with a solid background in ski mountaineering, mountain biking and trail running, including multiple competitive experiences in the long distance competitions of the Ultra-Trail World Tour circuit and the Tor Des Geants.
“Just as I’m always looking for new stimuli and new challenges in my ultra-distance competition,” explains Cornaro, “so is my professional life. This new and ambitious project at the Mountain Shop immediately excited me. I would like to thank the Oberalp Group for giving me the opportunity to put at the service of Bergamo and Orobie enthusiasts the expertise acquired over the years in many competitions and trail running training, and in other mountain activities such as ski mountaineering”.
In addition to the brands owned by the Oberalp Group, the assortment of the new Mountain Shop Bergamo will also include other top brands in the outdoor world, such as X-Bionic, Smith Optics and Fischer, with a selection that will be expanded over the course of the seasons.
Gianluca Coneglian, General Manager Retail of the Oberalp Group, was also present at the opening: “The opening of the Mountain Shop Bergamo follows that of three months ago in Campo Tures, which will be followed by others in Italy and Europe.
