Oberalp Group takes over the distribution of the Falke and Burlington

The Oberalp Group will take over the distribution of the Falke and Burlington brands for the Italian market from January 2021. This will increase the number of brands distributed by the Group from seven to nine, each a pioneer in its respective sector.

“Of all the requests we receive, we chose these two brands because the union between our two companies will create an excellent union, thanks to the sharing of key characteristics such as family management, the link with tradition and attention to quality,” says Christoph Engl, CEO of the Oberalp Group.

In recent years, the Italian Oberalp Group has increasingly established itself as a valuable partner for the distribution and retailing of sports and fashion goods from leading international brands. “Falke and Burlington have in turn built up an excellent reputation in Europe, associated above all with their high quality standards. We see great development potential in Italy for these historic brands,” says Stefano Bovolon, Business Unit Director Distribution at Oberalp.

With Falke, a traditional but strongly innovation-oriented brand for sports and leisurewear, and Burlington, which specialises in the production of high-quality socks, the Oberalp Group is not only expanding its portfolio in the sports sector, but also in the fashion sector.
“We are very pleased with this partnership,” says Stefano Bovolon and underlines: “Falke and Burlington are traditional brands that fit very well into our premium portfolio. Thanks to our decades of experience and know-how in the sports retail sector, we are convinced that we can offer important added value on the Italian market. Having acquired distribution outside Italy for some of our partner brands, we do not exclude the possibility of taking over the distribution of Falke and Burlington for other European countries as well.
