Ortovox checkpoint at River City Shelter: checking ARTVA devices
The River City Shelter has been equipped with theOrtovox Checkpoint, a permanent system that is installed and designed specifically for checking ARTVA devices.
Located in the Pelmo – Croda Da Lago Area, the area offers vast terrain for exploring and enjoying a wide variety of outdoor activities. Hikers can enjoy an extensive network of trails, as can freeriders and ski mountaineers.
A working ARTVA device, together with a probe and shovel, constitutes the basic equipment for safety in open terrain. The Ortovox Checkpoint reliably checks whether ARTVA devices are turned on and verifies their transmission parameters. A visual and audible signal quickly and easily confirms the functionality of the devices as you pass by.
