Petzl Legend Tour Italy: climbing as a team!

After Finale Ligure and Sperlonga, the Petzl Legend Tour Italy travels through Valnerina to tell the story of how, at the end of the 1980s, sport climbing took root in the heart of Umbria thanks to the commitment of an entire community.

The search for new vertical terrains to explore by some of the protagonists of the birth of sport climbing in central Italy is the fil rouge of the third episode of our journey to discover the origins of this sport.
At the end of the eighties Ferentillo becomes, thanks to the intuition of Luciano Santi and of the Alpine Guide Luigi Mario, a point of reference for the climbers of that period.

Ferentillo has a primate in the history of the Italian sport climb, here in fact for the first time the Commune decided to support the expenses
to equip the walls of rock. In truth it was then the entire community to be involved in the development of so many sectors of climbing and in the organization of competitions and events that brought to Ferentillo all the climbers more in sight of the national and international panorama of the years eighty and ninety.

Thanks to the story of Andrea Di Bari, Nicola Cosenza, Alvise Mario relive the spirit of those years. Each shot that we will tell you will be much more than a sequence of grips, it will be the story of an era and the look of those who lived it.
