Polartec and Specialized present the new multifunctional collection

Polartec announces an important collaboration with Specialized, a leading brand in the creation of garments suitable for mountain biking, road cycling and gravel. The strategic partnership has allowed the two brands to rethink traditional layers, creating a new and complete layering system for both road and trail.

The Fall/Winter 2020 collection is designed to stay warm and dry, during mid-season, but also in the cold of winter. The fabrics have been chosen according to their performance characteristics both as a single garment and as an integral part of a multifunctional layering system. The collection allows enthusiasts to choose between items that allow them to pedal as they want, where they want, with the certainty of always being fully equipped.

For perfect insulation, the Prime-Series Alpha jacket (available for men and women) and the Trail-Series Alpha jacket (available for men and women) are made of Polartec Alpha Direct. Originally developed for the United States Special Forces, Polartec Alpha active insulation provides excellent thermoregulation that helps eliminate the need to add or remove layers when on the move.
Featuring highly breathable fabric and seams positioned to minimise water penetration points, jackets made from Polartec Alpha offer maximum comfort and insulation.

Greater protection against rain with Prime-Series Thermal and Prime-Series Waterproof gloves (available for men and women), and with Race-Series (available for men and women) and Trail-Series (available for men) jackets, all developed in Polartec NeoShell, the most breathable and waterproof membrane available on the market. Polartec Neohell is suitable for the most extreme weather conditions and offers maximum protection and comfort thanks to greater elasticity, resistance and durability, while allowing dynamic air exchange to facilitate breathability without compromising the waterproofing of the fabric.
To adapt to different activities and weather conditions, Specialized and Polartec have created light variations for cycling on road and trail. For the road, Specialized has chosen a more elastic version of Polartec NeoShell for a tighter fit, combining it with a HyprViz colour treatment to increase visibility for drivers. For the Trail, Specialized chose a Neoshell woven face to increase durability and offer greater protection in the most severe trail conditions.

For cycling on the coldest days, Specialized offers the Prime-Series Thermal jersey (available for men and women), the Trail-Series Thermal jersey (available for men and women), the Prime-Series Thermal balaclava and neck warmer, all made of Polartec Power Grid. Thanks to a patented perforated structure, the fabric offers the highest levels of compressibility and moisture absorption for better thermal insulation. Polartec Power Grid reinvents warmth and breathability with a minimalist design that optimizes the performance of the fabric.
