In accordance with the commitment aimed at transparency and sustainability pursued by Milliken, as outlined in the recent release of its sixth annual sustainability report, Polartec prides itself on putting innovation and environmental responsibility at the center of everything it does.

The Milliken & Company Sustainability Report 2023 Reveals the performance achieved against the Sustainability Goals 2025 and the Goals Net-Zero of the group, which operates globally in diverse markets, explaining the company’s major impacts in terms of people, products, planet, and the measures taken in the zero-emissions arena.

It also includes updates on each of the key impact areas that Milliken and Polartec adhere to, which include:

• People: The company has focused on employee safety by reducing injuries that cause prolonged absence from the workplace, strengthened its commitment to a supply chain inclusive by hosting its first Supplier Diversity Event and surpassed its goal of 100,000 monte ore earmarked for local community volunteering a year ahead of schedule.
• Product: Milliken used sustainability assessments to analyze all new products and achieved measurable results against its multi-year commitment to address challenges arising from end-of-life plastics.

• Net-Zero: Five years of progress on goals related to greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy have helped Milliken make progress toward Scopes 1 and 2, which see a decrease in emissions by 2030.
