Salewa presents the innovative Responsive Technology

Like rock, the South Tyrolean brand’s innovative Responsive technology contains minerals, selected to intercept the energy produced by the body and return it, stimulating greater well-being, better thermal comfort and faster recovery from fatigue.

The heart of Salewa‘s philosophy is that the mountains are a source of inspiration and energy. The South Tyrolean brand now presents Responsive, the new technology that extends the contribution of the mountains from emotional to physical energy.
Over seventy products from the Fall/Winter 2020/21 collection will be engineered with the exclusive mineral mix of Responsive technology. Thanks to the refractive properties of minerals, FIR (Far Infra Red) radiation emitted by the human body is intercepted and returned, stimulating cellular functions, microcirculation and peripheral oxygenation.

The result for users of Responsive technology products is a feeling of well-being that can consist of improved thermal comfort, reduced muscle fatigue, and faster recovery from fatigue.
The benefits of the new technology have been tested in a study conducted by the Politecnico di Torino. The test results confirm the feelings of Salewa athletes, showing on average 5.5% more oxygen transport in the blood (VO2) and an 18% drop in lactate.

The new Zebru baselayer range uses AlpineWool Responsive, a fabric in which super-fine merino wool fibers (64%) are processed together with polyamide fibers loaded with the Responsive mineral mix, with a seamless, differentiated zone weaving.

Responsive technology has also been used for the new Diadem sleeping bags. The print on the inner lining is made with a special varnish that contains the mix of Responsive minerals, calibrated to promote the thermoregulation of the body for greater comfort and a deeper rest.

The Sella mountaineering Sella Responsive Jacket is made of Powertex Responsive, a fabric with waterproof and breathable membrane, abrasion resistant on the outside that hides inside a print made with a special paint that contains the mix of minerals Responsive.

TirolWool Responsive is the new hybrid padding that combines the thermoregulation properties of Tyrolean alpine sheep’s wool with polyester fibers loaded with a mix of Responsive minerals, used for example in the light, warm and breathable Pedroc Hybrid TirolWool Responsive Hood Jacket.
