Scott Italy takes the field for the 2021/22 season with a team engaged in the most diverse racing disciplines, starting from Ultra Trail up to the explosive field of Spartan Race!
Iacopo Brasi
The recent launch of the new Speed Carbon RC running shoe has brought new air in Scott and from here was born the need to insert in the Italy staff an athlete specialized in road running and mountain running. The choice fell on Iacopo Brasi. The twenty-six year old from Bergamo has put sport at the center of his life for years, first with the achievement of prestigious results in mountain running and then with a fresh degree in exercise science. His professional experiences in Kenya and Uganda have allowed him to work alongside the greatest runners on earth. Among the many athletes he coaches, Jacob Kiplimo, the 2020 World Half Marathon Champion, stands out. “We are betting a lot on him – says Mario Poletti Product Manager Scott Running Italia – “We are sure that in addition to the sporting results on the road, Iacopo will be able to support the development of products thanks to his experience in the international field”.
Oliviero Bosatelli
In the trail/ultra sector, Oliviero Bosatelli has been confirmed and has decided to wear Scott’s yellow and black colors once again. After a start of the season that has seen him involved in some trail races, the firefighter aims to make his mark in his first Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. In September instead, all eyes will be on the Tor des Geants, where he will present himself as one of the men to beat, also strong from the victories he won in 2016 and 2019.
Eugenio Bianchi
Scott Italia also renews the collaboration with Eugenio Bianchi, the greatest interpreter of OCR. Since 2014, he has been the undisputed champion of this sport, which is constantly on the rise. Bianchi has been collecting podiums for 7 years now, winning at home and abroad. He is the eighth athlete in the world for number of podiums and victories, able to win over any distance so as to have won 6 podiums in the European Series in just 2 years. His presence in the team guarantees visibility and enthusiasm to the sport.
