Selvatiq’s unconventional beverage proposal is enriched with two new proposals: the brand presents the soda Mediterranean Coast and Alpine Forest, two beverages revolutionary in concept and characteristics, a synthesis of the founding values of the company’s philosophy and activity, between scientific research and sustainability.
Selvatiq is the result of a meeting between Valeria Margherita Mosca, founder of Wood*ing wild Food Lab – the most important research laboratory on the use of wild food for human consumption, which also includes Stefano Tosoni, expert in special projects aimed at sustainability – and Charles Lanthier, entrepreneur expert in the launch of non-conventional drinks. After presenting the first line of Wild Nomadic Spirits (which includes a gin, vermouth and bitter) last February, research activities and the spirit of adventure have taken the brand’s creators to the wildest coasts of the Mediterranean and the Alpine forests.
The result are two non-alcoholic drinks with unusual flavours, based on fig and spruce leaves. As the brand’s philosophy demands, the new sodas are the concretization of a revolutionary concept: to create a product that is the result of the real synergy between man and the environment.

 

From the Mediterranean coasts to the Alpine forests

The Mediterranean Coast soda comes from the leaves of wild fig trees, which colour and populate the Mediterranean coasts abundantly. The harvest starts from the idea of giving new life to the leaves of an invasive tree, generally used for its fruits; an approach that helps to reflect on the comparison with biodiversity, its protection and the use of the different parts of wild plants that have become in some cases typical of extensive crops. The characteristics of the leaves, easily recognizable thanks to their particular shape, give life to a natural extract that makes the soft drink pleasant and suggestive. A fresh and aromatic soda with fruity and surprisingly tropical tones reminiscent of coconut water, vanilla and hazelnut.
Fresher and citric, balsamic and slightly bitter, Alpine Forest brings all the colours and odours of the Alpine forest to the taste and ingredients: it is in fact produced using precisely what those who protect and safeguard this natural environment deem it necessary to eliminate. The fresh spruce branches are picked right where the forest authorities gather them or where they fall spontaneously, in a perfect synergy between man and forest.
Thanks to their pleasantly aromatic notes, unique taste and composition based only on natural ingredients, the firm Mediterranean Coast and Alpine Forest are aimed at nature lovers and outdoor activities, but also at those who want a refined, balanced taste experience and a sustainable choice.
