Subaru unveils first all-electric suv
Subaru announces it has opened a teaser website ahead of the global launch of the House of the Pleiades’ first electric SUV, a first for the brand.
Subaru’s next-generation SUV has a name: “Solterra.” The all-new SUV, so named from the union of the Latin words “Sol” and “Terra,” is built on the e-Subaru Global Platform, a new architecture dedicated to battery electric vehicles.
“Solterra” packs the Subaru brand’s reliability, state-of-the-art safety technologies and legendary all-wheel drive engineering into an all-electric, environmentally friendly SUV.
“Solterra,” Subaru’s first all-electric SUV, will go on sale in 2022.
