Test: Montura Tre Cime Evo GTX

Test: Montura Tre Cime Evo GTX

A solid boot to face the most demanding treks.

Tre Cime Evo GTX is a solid and robust trekking boot that can be used 365 days a year. Compared to the standard configuration, the EVO version differs in the composition of midsole and upper, lightening the overall weight. The fit takes place easily, facilitated by the wide excursion of the tongue. The suede flaps converge on curvilinear profile rings, allowing a fluid and rapid sliding of the lace. The interior spaces are precise and enveloping, especially at the level of the heel and arch.

On the back, the Pro Tech polyurethane edge leaves room for the TPU insert for attaching the crampon and a rigid structure, anatomically shaped, which reveals the logo, a distinctive feature of Montura boots. The lowered profile collar adapts to accommodate the Achilles tendon in the most comfortable way, especially during the extension of the step. The mounting insole combines nylon and fiberglass with differentiated anti-torsion thickness, giving you excellent sensitivity in the climbing phases, where the precision of the support is appreciated. On the sole there’s a Vibram Mont compound developed specifically for trekking. It turns out to be a boot intended for intermediate level hikers (who already approach technical terrains), able to guarantee excellent stability, combined with a sense of total reliability and maximum ergonomics in all phases of use.

We Like: The addition of an extra 4.5mm footbed.
