Test: On Running Cloudultra

Test: On Running Cloudultra

Born on the Swiss Alps, ready to face long distances.

Cloudultra is an ambitious, innovative, technologically advanced shoe. The central focus of the project is confirmed by the midsole compartment, where the distinctive elements of the CloudTec show a new closed channel construction that avoids the accumulation of debris and pebbles. The high return Helion foam provides soft landings and excellent ground sensitivity. The Speedboard, made of a layer of thermoplastic polymer between the midsole and the upper, comes into action at every stage, accumulating energy from the impact and giving a torsional stiffness particularly appreciated on uneven terrain and on descents.

From the deadlift to the transition, the race is solid, decisive. The shoe is extremely adaptive and reacts to its own style of support. The upper, with essential and clean lines, is made with two layers of breathable mesh and reinforced with heat-sealed TPU sections. It stands out for a decidedly snug fit and an adjustable fit thanks to the revolutionary FlipRelease system that significantly widens the lower lacing with a simple touch. The Missiongrip sole has four distinct segments with differentiated lugs with contained depths. The grip, more effective in the forefoot, makes this shoe suitable for hard surfaces or classic door-to-trail segments. A graceful and elegant shoe that gives a completely new running sensation.

We Like: The upper, a piece of aesthetic and qualitative workmanship.
