Test: Tecnica Magma GTX MS

Test: Tecnica Magma GTX MS

For walking, running and climbing on all technical terrains.

A shoe that has impressed and intrigued us. Magma is an all mountain designed for fast hiking and scrambling on any technical terrain. The upper adapts perfectly to the anatomical shape of the foot, providing excellent feelings and incredible support to the midfoot. The tight and performing fit guarantees reactivity. The classic design of the tongue is combined with a lacing system that allows precise adjustment of volumes. The extensive use of mesh gives great breathability while waterproofing is guaranteed by the hydrophobic fabric and by the Gore-Tex membrane. The high-rebound EVA midsole is incredibly solid on steep and rocky trails.

The ESS support controls the level of torsion, while an internal plate protects the forefoot from rough terrain. The rocker profile and rounded shape of the forefoot improve grip, acceleration and transitions. The oversized shape of the heel provides great stability, increasing performance downhill and on technical traverses. Two rear rubber lugs ensure a superior level of braking. The XO-Shield sole, with Vibram Litebase technology, wraps the upper in critical areas, providing traction and extended protection. The multi-traction tread pattern, inspired by the design of MTB Enduro tires, offers grip on all types of surfaces. The result is a lightweight, performance shoe that provides a high level of reliability.

We Like: The ability to adapt to the specific shape of the foot.
