The new Santini Uci collection chooses Polartec

Santini creates an entire collection dedicated to the long partnership with Uci. One of the garments proposed was designed using Power Air, the latest revolutionary technology launched on the market by Polartec in 2019.

The first technology designed to reduce microfiber dispersion. By encapsulating the fibers within a multi-layer fabric structure, thanks to the processing of a continuous yarn, it is a revolutionary new platform that offers advanced thermal efficiency and has been shown to reduce fiber dispersion by at least five times compared to other premium “mid-layer” fabrics.

Polartec has always been one of the leading brands and forerunner in the field of sustainable innovation, producing fabrics with a high content of recycled materials since 1993. To date, over 1.5 billion disposable plastic bottles have been recycled for landfill, equivalent to over 38 million garments in the global market. And this number is constantly growing. In addition, 95% of the industrial waste produced is also converted and often transformed into insulation materials. For over 25 years Polartec has focused on sustainability and innovation, and today we offer about 200 fabrics (2/3 of our collection) with at least 50% of the content coming from 100% recycled plastic bottles, for a total of over 6 million meters of recycled fabrics produced per year.
