The sixth edition of BAM was held! More than 400 travelers

On the 26th and 27th of September, the sixth edition of BAM! – the European gathering of bicycle travelers – was held at the Lausen Refuge, in the Lessini Mountains, the first edition of “Campfire”, with a closed number.

More than four hundred travelers from all over Italy planted their tents around the refuge after cycling for several days, respecting the spirit of the event, where you don’t arrive by car, but only by taking a trip and sharing the road with someone.
The formula worked: despite the anti-Covid regulations, cold temperatures, a splash of snow and wind, the program of meetings, music and presentations was enthusiastic and the most festive part of the gathering continued well after midnight.

Also present were some companies that talked with the travelers present, such as Vaude, Sea to Summit, Scott, Bergamont, Cinelli, Rodeo and Campagnolo, who presented at BAM!, in world premiere, the new Ekar gearbox, designed also for travelers.

Many guests, such as Filippo Graglia, who told his journey in Africa, from North to South, Dino Lanzaretti, Daniele and Simona from Becycling, in Italy after 6 years and 55.000 km, Renata Andolfi, who told the Hymalaya by bike, but also people like Fabio “Wolf” Guglierminotti, who uses the bike to fight sclerosis.

The spirit of the event, however, is not only to give space to those who have crossed the world by bike, but also to make culture, share experiences and sensations, bring new people closer to the emotion of cycling.
BAM! was also an opportunity to take stock of the industry, fueling a comparison between fans, journalists, companies and public administrations, at a time when tourism can not ignore the opportunity offered by those who choose the bike to travel.

“It was a perfect edition” say the organizers, “and for us the confirmation that people are increasingly looking for authentic experiences. We are considering maintaining this formula in addition to the traditional BAM”.
