Tragedy on K2, Mingote dies!

The mountaineer was the victim of a bad fall

K2, in Pakistan, has claimed another victim. Spanish mountaineer Sergi Mingote died in a fall on the slopes of the mighty mountain.

According to recent reports, the mountaineer was involved in an accident during the descent between Camp 1 and the Advanced Base Camp. The news was confirmed by Chhang Dawa, Sherpa: “Alex Gavan, and the Italian Tamara Lunger and two other Polish climbers gave him a hand, we sent a medical team from the base camp but unfortunately we were no longer able to save him”. The body will be evacuated in the next few hours with the help of a helicopter.
