Va’ Sentiero: the première of the first 3,548 km is coming soon

Va’ Sentiero: on 25/11 the online première on the first 3,548 km along the Sentiero Italia

Wednesday 25 November Va’ Sentiero goes on air with the national preview of the self-produced docufilm “Va’ Sentiero – Alla scoperta del Sentiero Italia”. The protagonists are the first 3,548 km of the expedition that is rediscovering the Italian hinterland along the longest trek in the world, condensed in 50 minutes.
Live at 9.00 p.m. on the YouTube channel of Va’ Sentiero for the screening; at 9.55 p.m. we move on Facebook for the Question Time open to the curiosity of all viewers. Moderator: Frank Lotta, top speaker of Radio Deejay and host of the programme Deejay On the Road.

Self-produced by Va’ Sentiero with video and editing by Andrea Buonopane, the docufilm “Va’ Sentiero – Alla scoperta del Sentiero Italia. The first 3,548 km from Trieste to the Sibillini Mountains” condenses in 50 minutes the landscapes, faces and stories that the young team of Va’ Sentiero met during its first 3,548 km travelled during the first 7 months of the expedition along the Sentiero Italia, crossing Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Lombardia, Piemonte, Valle d’Aosta, Liguria, Toscana, Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and Marche. This unprecedented journey began last year with a twofold objective: on the one hand, to promote the Sentiero Italia – the longest trekking in the world – under the banner of environmental awareness and slow tourism; on the other, to enhance the value of the Highlands while respecting their local and environmental peculiarities and contributing to support the socio-economic fabric of the inland areas, too often in the process of depopulation.

“This docufilm is the fruit of our unique and authentic experience along the Sentiero Italia. It tells of a magical and moving nature, but also of community, between abandonment and return. Ample space, in fact, is left to the voices of the people we meet: those who resist in silence and who have taught us a lot about the potential and fragility of the Highlands. I must therefore thank those who, every day, have warmed us with their welcome, those who believed in Va’ Sentiero, step by step”. Andrea Buonopane, videomaker of Va’ Sentiero and author of the docufilm.

In compliance with preventive health measures, at 9pm the video will be shared with online viewers through an exclusive screening on Va’ Sentiero’s YouTube channel. This does not mean that we will give up the charm of a typical première in presence: for the participation is strongly recommended the gala dresscode and, once the screening is over, we will move on Facebook to give space to the questions of the spectators present. Live answers will be given by the entire Va’ Sentiero team, coordinated by Frank Lotta, speaker of Radio DeeJay. The docufilm will also be shared in real time on the Ferrino website, sponsor of the expedition.

Admission to the virtual première is free; if you wish, you can contribute to the Va’ Sentiero cause with a donation to the project: go to the crowdfunding campaign and discover the personalized prizes!
