Vans Ultrarange Neo VR3: updated fit, improved materials and new colorways

Vans Ultrarange Neo VR3 is the ultimate “Off The Wall” exploration shoe, the result of feedback received from Vans Surf athletes, who demanded a shoe they could use anywhere and in any situation during their travels. For the Spring 2024 season, the model kicks off a new chapter with two updated and upgraded color variants.

Coming in unisex “Light Green/Black” and “Yellow/Multi” colorways, the reinvented Vans Ultrarange Neo VR3 features a new shape that improves the fit and profile without altering the look, as well as a modified arch support cradle for added support. But this is not just a fit upgrade: if you take a closer look at the midsole, you will notice that the printed patterns are an abstract interpretation of Vans’ famous checkerboard pattern.

The shoe falls under the Vans Checkerboard Globe category, following strict footwear material guidelines for all major components. The Ultrarange Neo VR3 is made of regenerative, sustainably sourced, renewable and/or recycled materials: the lightweight, breathable uppers are made of 100 percent recycled PET, the midsoles are constructed of at least 50 percent biobased EVA foam, and the outsoles, which offer a progressive version of Vans’ classic waffle traction, are made of at least 60 percent regenerated natural rubber.

The reimagined Vans Ultrarange Neo VR3 is accompanied by a selection of wear-anywhere garments. Highlights of the clothing collection include the Rosewood reversible vest and a set of double-knit mock neck and shorts, as well as a climbing short, a camping cap, a short-sleeve T-shirt and a cotton tank top, all in an outdoor-friendly color palette that can be matched with footwear.
