X VIBRAM MAREMONTANA WON BY GERMAIN GRANGER AND CRISTINA FOLLADOR

The 10th edition of the Vibram Maremontana – Memorial Cencin De Francesco has been a great success, it has been ran on the inland trails of Loano over three distances, 60, 45 and 20 Km, and saw 1150 Italian and foreign runners, with 15 nationalities represented, at the start.

The winner of the 60 Km run has been the French Germain Grangier who crossed the finish line in 06:24:42. The second and third place went to Thomas Angeli (06:24:53) and Giulio Ornati from Bergeggi Team A.S.D. (06:29:22); fourth place for the Swiss Ramon Manetsch from Gantrischbike.ch (07:07:42) and fifth was Giuliano Cavallo from Pol. S. Orso (07:09:35).

The first women in 08:46:56 has been Cristina Follador from Unione Sportiva Aldo Moro din front of Guendalina Sibona (09:12:55), Daniela Bonnet from Sport Club Angrogna A.S.D. (09:17:54), Elisabetta Lenotti from A.S.D. Verona Trail Runners (09:18:23) and Monica Francesca D’Urso from Sisport SSD A R.L. (09:20:51).

The men’s podium of the 45 Km and the qualification for the 2019 World Championships has been won by Marco De Gasperi from Atl. Alta Valtellina with a time of 04:22:15, Davide Cheraz from Atletica Sandro Calvesi (04:23:38) and Andreas Reiterer from ASV Telmekom Team Südtirol (04:25:58). Luca Cagnati from Atl. Valli Bergamasche Leffe (04:27:51) and Riccardo Borgialli from A.S.D. Bognasco (04:28:18) followed them.

The women’s classification of the 45 Km has seen on the first step of the podium Elisa Desco from Atl. Alta Valtellina with a time of 05:02:44, followed by Barbara Bani from Free-Zone (05:08:21), and Sarah Palfrader from Atl. Alta Valtellina (05:31:40), who also qualified for the World Cup in Portugal. Fourth place for Lidia Mongelli from Correre Pollino (05:43:01) and fifth place for the French Audrey Bassac from Trailrunning Team Vibram (05:43:13).

First man of the 20 Km run has been Gabriele Bacchion from Tornado with a time of 01:36:52, followed by Mattia Einaudi from A.S.D Podistica Valle Varaita (01:41:05), Massimiliano Corti from Team Pasturo ASD (01:42:29), Adrea Carabelli from Insubria Sky Team ASD (01:46:01) and Matteo Ceresa (01:47:31).

Among women, the shortest distance victory went to Alice Minetti from A.S.D. Atletica Roata Chiusani (02:03:06), followed by Lorena Casse from Valsusa Running Team ASD (02:07:06), Simona Gambaro from Sisport SSD A R.L. (02:07:32), Tina Angela Sbrissa from Tornado (02:11:30) and Giulia Zanotti (02:12:39).
