Bike Festival Riva del Garda

Bike Festival Riva del Garda

For 30 years now, the mountain bike festival has brought together amateurs and professionals in Riva del Garda. The prominence of the off-road cycling discipline, in fact, dates back to the 1990s. The movement shortly became a mass phenomenon. Dozens of companies made mountain bikes their focus, embarking on the development of ever-new products and technical solutions. This was the context in which 1994 saw the birth of the Riva del Garda event, conceived by the German publisher of Bike magazine. That’s how, every first weekend in May, mountain bikes turn Trentino’s side of Garda into a real Mecca for German bikers, as well as Italians ones now.

It is precisely the increasingly Italian audience that has prompted Garda Dolomiti, after purchasing the event in early 2023, to strengthen the Italian communication side of Bike Festival Riva del Garda. The agency Ldl Cometa of Bergamo, an agency specialised in outdoor and endurance sports, was chosen to take care of the press office and media relations in the Italian market.

“We are extremly excited to start this collaboration with an event that we know well because its format has created a standard in the field of exhibition events dedicated to bicycle sports,” commented Carlo Brena, founder of the agency, “and we want to put our experience at the disposal of Bike Festival Riva del Garda, emphasizing the value of the event in relation to the territory that hosts it.

Like the previous ones, also the 30th edition of the Bike Festival Riva del Garda -May 2-5, 2024 – will feature the effective mixing of expo area, events and the ever-present Mountain bike and Gravel races in the territory of Trentino around the Garda lake. In short, it will not mar the fun. Not even in the booths, which will see more than 200 companies display products from 350 brands, allowing visitors to “try them out” in specific test areas.

Garda Trentino assumes the title of host and owner of the event, but the rest of the Riva del Garda Bike Festival team does not change. Yunique GmbH, the company from Hamburg, remains responsible for coordination, and publisher Delius Klasing Verlag GmbH of Bielefeld retains the role of Media Partner with its journal Bike. In charge of international communication activities will be Munich-based agency Crystal Communications, which will also coordinate the Italian market through LDL Cometa.
