Bon Voyaje By James Pearson: the film
The enterprise
In February 2023 James Pearson had freed one of the trad routes considered among the most difficult in the world, Bon Voyage . The climber had, in fact, stated that it had taken him much longer than all the other routes he had previously completed. James did not want to affix a definitive grade to the route, precisely so that other possible future climbers who would walk it could have a personal and free opinion about it.
The film
In the video James Pearson shares his experience and opinion about Bon Voyage. But not only that. The freest expression of climbing, according to James, occurs when you stop striving for perfection and start adapting to your flow state. James learned how to make being a parent and a climber coexist in a dynamic balance. Both roles are constantly challenged to achieve a state of personal flow, leading him to have fun and enjoy the moments of life with much less pressure, always giving his best. James’ is a valuable testimony for each of us.
