Buff and Surfrider Foundation: together for a new collection

Buff and Surfrider Foundation: together for new collection – Buff announces its new collection with Surfrider Foundation and Surfrider Foundation Europe.

Designed by Cornwall-based artist Gemma Lessinger, this collection aims to help raise awareness and promote change so that the ocean can be preserved for future generations.

Buff has always cared about the environment, and as part of its Do More Now program, which focuses on taking action to benefit people and the planet, it will donate 10 percent of sales from the collection to support Surfrider’s mission to protect the world’s oceans, waves and beaches on behalf of all people.

Surfrider Foundation is an organization dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people through a powerful network of activists. Since the 1980s, the organization has been working to reduce the amount of litter polluting the marine environment through community education and empowerment, beach clean-up events, and the promotion of more effective policies for our environment.

The collection, designed in shades of blue, features six pieces, all with detailed ocean-inspired graphics. There are four variations of the CoolNet UV neck warmer, a 100% organic cotton knit beanie and a 5-panel Go Cap with contrasting colors. All were designed by Gemma Lessinger and manufactured at Buff’s headquarters in Barcelona, using 100 percent renewable energy.

To celebrate the partnership, the Buff and Surfrider team held a clean-up near the Barcelona headquarters on May 7. In addition to Surfrider’s passionate supporters, Buff engaged suppliers, ambassadors, employees and related B Corp companies to contribute to the mission.
