Drake Battle Rusty test

This new iteration once again serves as a faithful multipurpose tool developed to provide a feeling of stability and safety when going fast or turning big. The first thing to note is its size: this is an extra surface board with obvious buoyancy advantage in fresh water. The nose, slightly wider than the tail, comes in handy in deep snow by allowing the relatively conventional shape to lower the tail and maintain buoyancy. It has slight directionality due to the setback of the bushings and a sidecut centered with respect to its position. Stable at speed, it favors gait with the leading foot without disadvantaging the swtich too much. Between the feet a standard camber where there is no shortage of responsiveness, pop and edge hold when you need it. Softened areas at the tip and tail make the riding more forgiving in corner entry and less aggressive during tricks. This arc discharges weight exactly at the points of contact with the snow, amplifying the force impressed on the foil. Battle Rusty is no ordinary all-rounder; it is a board that can blend styles and currents of thought. The directional, oversize shape gives it absurd flotation, but it also has everything you need to have fun jibbing, track and park.
