Drake Team test

For several years, the Team model has been “propelling” Northwave athletes into the air thanks to its bold construction and use of premium materials such as carbon, Kevlar, urethane sidewalls and a sintered PTex insole. The Directional Twin shape is combined with a Smooth Classic camber profile. In the middle part of the board it brings all the advantages of classic camber, i.e., stability and a feeling of safety when going fast or in big jumps, while the “softened” areas at the tip and tail make the riding more permissive at low speeds and less aggressive during tricks. Carbon and Kevlar strips placed along the entire length increase pop without compromising torsional sensitivity. The result is an incredibly responsive board under the slightest hint of ollie. Team is quite stiff and stable as few; it has a very good response and an impressive switch that allow fantastic evolutions. In short, not for everyone. If in the park he can eat up larger structures with ease, on the track he gains disarming speed and draws turns with the compass. In powder it adds a dash of versatility, but requires a creative, no-indecision approach. An all mountain board that was created for different types of snow and trails, suitable for multiple occasions of use, but prefers a freestyle oriented approach. This year’s graphics are a tribute to the hands of God and Adam by Michelangelo. A true masterpiece in the art world, just like this board, a favorite among Northwave riders.
