For the love of the Sea by Patagonia films

Patagonia’s new signed short film about how a family in Wales tries every day to save the oceans

“To revive our oceans we have to change the way we think.” So opens the documentary film signed Patagonia Films that tells the story of a West Wales family that cares for the oceans every day with the regenerative ocean farm, Câr y Môr. This pioneering family is dedicated to versatile crops that can combat climate change and feed the community in more ways than one with zero impact.

This family’s commitment stems from the need to preserve the seabed and the activities of small fishermen from trawling. This super-invasive and disfiguring methodology involves hauling a net on the seabed from one or more boats. The damage caused by this method is, by now, almost irreversible, but there is still time to change things. In fact, Patagonia has launched, through WeMoveEurope, a petition aimed at stopping this type of fishing. Today more than 100,000 signatures have been collected. Please also sign the petition by clicking here. Change starts with us.
