The company’s objectives for 2021 in the Responsibility Update 2021.

The parent company of Gore-Tex, which has always been very committed to environmental sustainability, has once again published the eighth edition of its annual report, which describes the steps forward and the choices made by Gore Fabrics to achieve more innovative and sustainable production solutions.

A series of changes that have affected, and still affect, the company, which since 2014 has set annual objectives ranging from the production chain to corporate social responsibility.

Highlights include the launch of Extraguard, an innovative new technology from Gore-Tex Professional, and the development of expanded polyethylene (ePE), created with a view to taking a more eco-friendly approach to materials.

Ross MacLaine, Sustainability Leader of the Gore Fabrics Division, said, “I am pleased to see that in 2021, despite many challenges, we have made significant progress in many areas. […] In the 2021 edition of the Responsibility Update, we have taken the opportunity to share many of our experts’ thoughts to highlight the insights we have gained in this area. We will continue to work hard to meet our sustainability strategy commitments to protect people and the planet, extending the life of our products and improving the well-being of those who use them”.
