Gore-Tex launches the Experience

The “Gore-Tex Experience” project dedicated to contemporary travelers officially started on the weekend of September 18th from Ponza. The project was born with the aim of making people experience nature and conviviality, enjoy safe spaces and test the new technologies of Gore-Tex products.

Gore-Tex presents the ‘Gore-Tex Experience’ event format, realized in partnership with Provviste and its main Italian retail partners to promote sustainable tourism and the activity of walking, in company and tasting good food, discovering new itineraries and with the possibility to test footwear and clothing equipped with the new Gore-Tex product technologies.

Gore-Tex Italia has chosen to collaborate with Provviste and its retail partners to implement at local level the new sustainability strategy that reflects the company’s long-term commitment to protect people and the planet, while prolonging the life of products and the well-being of individuals.

Ross MacLaine, Sustainability Team Leader of Gore’s Fabrics Division said: “Through the new sustainability framework, the company’s goal is to redefine performance, as well as product specifications, for the benefit of both people and the planet. We will continue to focus our efforts on sustainability innovations and initiatives to maximize value for the society we create. In addition, we are constantly striving to work to minimize the environmental impact of our operations and products.

Gore-Tex, thanks to the involvement of its most important Italian retail partners and the support of Provviste, has organized 31 routes in 26 locations with the aim of allowing each participant to explore, savor and share days of discovery, slowness, the pleasure of good food with food and wine suggestions and the possibility to test, for the entire duration of the activity, footwear equipped with Gore-Tex Invisible Fit technology and clothing with the new Gore-Tex Pro technology.

From Bolzano to Rome, passing through Brescia, Milan, Turin, Verona. And then Rieti, Schio, Pisogne and many other cities and small towns with a calendar of activities that change according to the place where they take place: urban or nature trekking, excursions in the plains and trail-running in the mountains but always in close contact with the territory.
