Gore Wear: without fear, towards bad weather

Gore Wear: without fear, towards bad weather

Designed with passion and according to scientific rules, the Gore R5 Gore-Tex Infinium jacket, with insulating fabric, keeps runners dry and warm.

Made following an exclusive development process, it has a modern cut that does not go unnoticed. With the innovative construction of the Gore Windstopper lining, the jacket weighs only 250 g in the large size, but always offers optimal wind protection. The jacket, equipped with Polartec Alpha insulation layer to keep you warm, has 2 zipped side pockets and a hood. It is no coincidence that it was awarded as “Product of the Year” during this year’s Ispo Award ceremony.

A realization that is incredible and comes to life from three different experiences!

“Training well to run well” The story of the athlete Thea Heim

Step by step, you understand if the racing apparel you wear is suitable for your needs. Experienced runners know this very well, as does Thea Heim, a professional middle runner. For her, it’s important to achieve top performance at the right time and nothing should stop her. The new R5 Gore-Tex Infinium jacket, with insulating fabric, meets Thea’s strict criteria: it is ultra light and ideal for running in varying weather conditions, all year round and on any terrain. A jacket cannot stop it from raining, but a nice model can help to increase motivation, even for an athlete of Thea’s caliber. Thea demands a lot from his racing equipment, so during the races, he can give his best. After all, when you’re trying to give your best, even the smallest design details can help you reach small goals and go faster.

What does “cutting-edge technology” mean? By Grit Promberger, product developer

When I talk about the R5 Gore-Tex Infinium jacket with insulating fabric I feel a bit nerdy. After all, it is a product with a high technological content. The new structure of the fabric layers and the extreme lightness and breathability of the lining material (24 g/m2) prevent sweat droplets from penetrating the Polartec Alpha insulation layer and the rest of the jacket. The water vapor from the sweat evaporates quickly allowing the runners to stay warm and dry. The outer layer also features an extremely lightweight transparent fabric (31 g/m²) with Pfc-free Dwr treatment.

The perfect solution with a unique design. The story of Kristina Mora, product designer

As soon as you put it on, you can’t help but notice the silky smooth fabric and the feeling of softness on the skin of this jacket. It also keeps you warm during running sessions on the coldest days. Right from the start, our development process has been focused on these two qualities. Other features include the use of silent fabrics and discreet design elements such as reflective details under the semi-transparent layer.
