Itaca On Demand is born: dedicated to the Outdoor world
From the many years of experience of Itaca The Outdoor Community in the organization of the Italian Tours of the Banff Film Festival, Ocean Film Festival and Reel Rock Tour, the streaming platform that allows all users to enjoy the wonderful films chosen and selected by Itaca from the comfort of their own home has been fully operational for several weeks.
But there’s more: in a few days the 4th edition of the Ocean Film Festival will also be available, and only for a limited period of time, and it was not possible to take it on tour in Italian cities due to recent health restrictions. With access to the platform it will be possible to enjoy the wonderful films that celebrate the beauty of our seas and oceans.
Since the start of the first Banff Tour in Italy in 2013, the love for films that have a story to tell, the desire to spread the value of adventure, respect for nature and the desire to discover the beauty of the world have been the inspiring principles of Itaca The Outdoor Community.
After 10 years of great recognition from the public that has followed us passionately (over 70 events and more than 25,000 spectators in over 40 Italian cities every year) it is now time to leverage new technologies and give all outdoor enthusiasts access to the films selected by Itaca.
Itaca has thus launched a new and innovative project creating the first Italian streaming platform imagined and created exclusively for outdoor enthusiasts: Itaca On Demand.
It is a real “boutique” that contains, with the same care and attention with which the films shown in theatres and cinemas are chosen, a careful selection of medium, short and feature films dedicated to the beauty of the mountains, the sea, the oceans and the entire Outdoor world.
In fact, not only the collection of films related to the previous versions of the Tour will be available on the platform, but also many wonderful films related to the varied outdoor world chosen and selected by Itaca for its passionate spectators, which will be renewed month after month with new and exciting films.
Among the many new features, linked to the launch of the platform, is the inclusion for a limited period – from 28 November and only until 12 December included – of the 8 films selected for the 4th 2020 edition of the Ocean Film Festival Italia, scheduled to tour Italian cinemas in November. These films will be presented by no less than the athletes and the protagonists of the world of the sea and the oceans, who were to take part in the evenings of the Ocean Film Festival 2020.
