After fourteen seasons, Hovercraft comes in a completely redesigned form, setting a new standard in responsible snowboard production

Jones Hovercraft 2.0 test

After 14 seasons of minor upgrades, Jones debuts a completely redesigned Hovercraft. An “explosive” freeride board with a directional tapered shape that delivers amazing performance. Underfoot we find a set-back camber that provides edge hold and response. The directional rocker allows the nose to float with absolute pleasure, facilitating maneuverability. The slightly raised tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board while keeping it friction-free. Stability at high speeds is provided by a progressive sidecut whose radius is increased as the edge reaches the point of contact. In fact, the new shape is considerably more agile and faster in edge-to-edge transitions. The 3D Contour Base, inspired by the edges of surfboards, features 12mm of “spoon” beveling in the tip, giving lightning-fast turn entry and greatly improving flotation in fresh water. Two velocity channels in the tail reduce friction by improving smoothness. Evolution of a legend that does not compromise in terms of sustainable production.
