A modern pin-tail for all carving and freeride enthusiasts

Korua Pin Tonic test

Pin Tonic is a board for lovers of vintage-flavored shapes, freeriding and slope turns. A retro-flavored directional outline capable of tremendous satisfaction. Underfoot camber provides edge hold and stability on hard ground and in fast turns, while the massive early nose rocker helps make corner entry nice and smooth. This profile obviously offers great flotation in fresh air, where you can maintain constant speed throughout the turn. The low edge means that this board turns in the strait much more than it looks. The pin-tail itself gives tremendous response from the rear foot, allowing easy change of direction without sinking the tail. The generous width should not mislead, because Pin Tonic rides with ease: on the track, it is agile and precise in foil changes; entry and exit from corners is progressive and smooth. Merit also goes to a great torsional flex, at high speeds it allows itself to be led smoothly, especially in medium to long turns. In deep snow it gives amazing handling and lively response. No effort is required to keep it afloat, giving a relaxed ride. Pin Tonic is a bulky, stable board; it retains the advantages of its effective length but feels smaller underfoot than you might imagine.
