Thirty days to La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB® along with climbers Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell at the start in Cortina d’Ampezzo June 26 – 30
Everyone is just crazy about La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB®! The call of this epic competition reaches all the way to the United States, to the ears of two climbing legends-Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell.
Accustomed to thrill, famous for his free solo climbs also awarded an Oscar Alex Honnold This time he will have to keep his feet firmly on the ground to face the 50 km and 2600 meters of elevation gain with a combination of technical trails, steep climbs and descents through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Dolomites.
Honnold has been discovering this new passion for a few years now, and in this endeavor of his, he could not help but involve his partner in record-breaking and wall raids, Tommy Caldwell, who will perform the 10 km. Together last September they capped off an epic adventure in Alaska, two months of biking or non-motorized means to promote sustainable adventures.
The long weekend from June 26-30 will also host the queen race, the 120 km, the 80 km starting this year fromAlta Badia, and the 20 km.
With its race tracks that are lost among the Dolomites, La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB® is one of the most prestigious mountain running competitions in the world, attracting more and more athletes from all continents from year to year; in fact, this year there will be 6,000 participants, selected from 14,300 pre-registered.
It is not only a competition, but also an event that celebrates the natural beauty of the Dolomites and the passion for running in the mountains and above all promotes respect for nature.
