LEKI among alpine skiing world cup champions

The 22/23 alpine skiing season ended on a high note thanks to impressive new records set by overall World Cup winners Mikaela Shiffrin and Marco Odermatti.

Mikaela ended the season with 14 seasonal wins, bringing her total to 88 World Cup victories and thus surpassing the record of slalom legend Ingemar Stenmark. Marco Odermatt also achieved a historic triumph with 13 wins and 2042 points, surpassing Hermann Maier’s record.

LEKI was by far the most successful brand: their athletes won eight of the ten possible prizes. On the one hand, success has been attributed to the quality of their products, which have withstood without breaking down to every demand. On the other hand, attention has been paid to the care of athletes. Certainly their new Thermo Fitting system (TFS), used by this season’s carbon shin guards, has proven effective.

The battle of the season was between Aleksander Kilde and Marco Odermatt, which ended with the equal division of the speed awards. The race for the Super G World Cup also remained gripping to the end, ending with the triumph of Lara Gut-Behrami, who takes home the victory for the fourth time. It has been an exciting season for alpine skiing!
